Help n' Prayers fer "Good Gonzalo!"

Gonzalo Lira has been arrested again. Post, share, holler 'n' shout, DO sumthin' if ya can!

This is a short holler cuz a good man is in danger’ an’ NO entity ‘er embassy is offerin’ help for this US citizen-journalist, just arrested.

If we remain silent at his peril, this same silence forecasts our own!

Many've us truth-seekers have rehearsed (in truth sneakers, Converse!),
in our minds, a day when our tongues will be tied… or WORSE. 
(So much fer verse!)  That day is today, that’s the curse. 

And yes, it is worse..  I DO fear for the man's safety.. 

This is brave journalist Gonzalo Lira's second arrest in Ukraine at the hands of the modern-day N.A.Z.I.S./ Stasi (the ruthless Azovs / their Secret Police) an' I'm frankly WORRIED much more this time than before. 

Lira has young children; his wife is from Ukraine.  I worry for them too. He could not leave due to being under some form of “house arrest.” Now it’s full-on arrest / imprisonment.

The “team Blue n' Gold” hit squad is accusin' him of being some sort of Russian asset.  THAT is ASSinine (natch).  In truth, he's just frank, funny, n' refreshingly perceptive. 

Reminds me of the late (great) Jean Luc Godard—scruffy, chain-smokin', full'a irony an' gently pensive.  (He’d like that—bein’ a fellow cine-phile!) His "report-tage" has been helpful, ee-lucid-datin', an' entertainin' all at the same time.

IMO, the man understands and respects Putin's decisions (which ARE rational), he's watchin' the US implode an' isn't afraid of sharin' why he finds Mr P far schmarter 'n Mister B (don't we all agree?),  he sees through the MSM hokey-pokey "proper-gander" dance that’s cheerin' on clown-world comedian n' Cokey (not Cola) man Zelensky.  Tells it like it is.  TODAY that's a sin / crime…if ya do it with WITH AN AUDIENCE. And a smile. Like Gonzo did.

VERY MUCH like his Shakespearean namesake, the ever-optimistic Gonzalo from "The Tempest" is praised by wise Prospero as bein' a loyal an' "straight shooter," a man've his word:

O good Gonzalo,
My true preserver, and a loyal sir
To him you follow'st! I will pay thy graces
Home both in word and deed

In the play, when Gonzalo was supposed ta kill Prospero an' daughter Miranda, instead he sent them safely out ta sea but supplied them with not only necessities that guaranteed their survival—but also with books an' other creature comforts of the world they knew prior to exile.  A kindness. Thoughtful an' hopeful but able to see treachery—I'd say Gonzalo Lira fits the bill equally well (is it worth..a lira?!) 

Also in "The Tempest" it's only Gonzalo who doesn't see Caliban as a Monster when all others around 'im cannot see past the rough surface.  Perhaps Putin is outwardly Caliban in that he too is “unfairly” seen as bein' monst'rous an’ nothin’ more??? (Gonzalo doesn’t apologize fer the man either, but ruther points ‘im out as more humanly-fallible than a full-out ruthless Lex Luthor as some’d like him perceived…) 

A’ propo of nuttin’, if ya say “Putin” like them Frenchies do—it’s putain!—means “whore”… nobuddy seems ta have noticed this! I guess we need ta find out who is “on top” of him, non?

In any event….

This very week we saw the ritual gutting of 2 fine journalists both yanked summarily from their posts, both EXCORIATED by the MSM: Tucker Carlson (gawd that’s one gorefest, poor guy), and now, on a smaller scale, Gonzalo Lira. 

Tucker (sendin' blessin's ta him too!) can afford private security. Lira cannot (his name may “mean” money but methinks the guy hasn't a sou)!
