When I saw this I of course thought of Frank Olsen jumping from a tenth floor window of the Statler in 1953, just a couple of days after Thanksgiving day. Funny how this funny mind works. And I thought of the guy from Bed Bath and BEYOND. And other such moments.
My mom is a perfect example of the trauma based mind control. They call me a conspiracy nut. Her dad was cia, a horribly abusive man. She has no idea how split she is but she’s 80 so it’s working for her.
I made a comment about a particular spoken line on Jim Morrison's 'American Prayer' album... I wanted to edit it (because I actually recalled the line incorrectly). The comment seems to have gone missing? Anyway, I thought he said... "Do you know we are hypnotised by TV". He actually said... "Do you know we are ruled by TV". Same thing I guess. But interesting how our minds have a tendency to alter things over time.
Yup, SPOOKY Laurel Canyon it was (if they didn't start there they landed there.... Janis, Jimi, Zappa, CSNY, John Philips...dang the list is long...) I think they all figured it out which explains some brilliant lyrics (and messages) which still resonate today...
